SDM Institute of Ayurveda & Hospital located in the capital city of Karnataka was incepted in the year 2010. The campus is spacious and has state-of-the-art facilities to confer quality Ayurveda education to its students and specialized Ayurveda treatments to the patients visiting here. The college is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bangalore, and recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi, Government of Karnataka, and the Department of Ayush, Government of India. The first academic batch was admitted to the college in 2015 – 16 and currently, there are 4 batches of students in campus with an intake of 100 undergraduate students per academic year. The academic block of the Institute is in a five-storeyed building lodging all fourteen teaching departments. Each department has its own museums, departmental libraries, demonstration rooms, tutorial room, and staff rooms. Few departments also have exclusive, well-established laboratories.

2. 85% state Government Quota (KEA)
The responsibility of KEA is limited to the conduct of Counseling, which includes online registration, document verification, online Counseling procedure, seat allotment, and the issue of admission orders as per Government Rules. The candidates who wish to seek admission to Medical or Dental or Ayurveda or Unani or Homoeopathy courses in Karnataka must compulsorily qualify for UGNEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) exam conducted by NTA, New Delhi. The candidates who qualify in the UGNEET exam will only get the eligibility for admission to Medical, Dental, or AYUSH courses through KEA for Government share of seats subject to fulfilling the eligibility clauses of rule 5 of CET-2006 rules.
