Important OMR Filling Rules for CET 2025
Specimen OMR Sheet
  • KEA has uploaded a sample OMR sheet on its website.
  • Download it, study it, and practice on 4–5 photocopies at home.
  • Practice filling your Name, CET Number, Version Code, and shading answers using blue/black ballpoint pen.
OMR Sheet Structure

(i) OMR sheet has two pages:

  • Top sheet: Used for marking answers sent for scanning & evaluation.
  • Bottom sheet: A carbon copy given back to students after the exam.

(ii) Whatever you shade on the top sheet will automatically copy onto the bottom sheet.

Important Precautions While Filling OMR (Top Portion)

A. First 10 Minutes:

  • You must carefully write & shade: Name, CET Number, Version Code, Question Booklet Serial Number.
  • If CET Number or Version Code is wrong or missing your OMR will not be scanned and you will get NO RANK.
  • Be extremely accurate.

B. Next 70 Minutes:

  • There are 60 questions 60 rows each has 4 circles (A/B/C/D).
  • Shade only one correct circle per question.
  • Use blue or black ballpoint pen only.
  • Scanner is very sensitive even a dot, extra ink, or stray mark can be treated as an answer and may reduce your marks.
  • You cannot erase or correct once you shade.

C. End of Paper:

  • You must affix your Left-Hand Thumb Impression (LHTI) on the top sheet using the ink-pad provided.
  • No need to put thumb impression on the bottom sheet.
  • Invigilator will tear the bottom copy and give it to you.
  • Top copy will be collected and sent to KEA.

Important Note: OMR sheets without thumb impression will NOT be scanned. Such students will not get results.

Once you shade a circle on the OMR sheet it cannot be erased and you will not get a new sheet if you make a mistake. Shading two circles for the same question will be treated as multiple answers and you will receive zero marks for that question. Do not use tick marks, cross marks, dots, lines, half-filled circles, or shade outside the circle. Always shade the circle fully and neatly using only a blue or black ballpoint pen. Keep your CET 2025 OMR replica copy safely for at least one year after your admission.
