Sri Sai Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital (SAMC), Aligarh is a dream gradually taking concrete shape. It is but a tribute to Sri Sai Baba of Shirdi who inspired the founder Sri Rakesh Gupta to dedicate on institution to the India's pride and oldest science in medicine, Ayurveda. In April 2002 Om Sri Sai Shiksha Samiti was formed and registered under Societies registration Act 1860 and the founder transferred his rich herbal estate and grove spread over a large area of more than ten acres on the outskirts of Aligarh (G. T. Road) to the Society for running an Ayurvedic College.
Sri Sai Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital was first to obtain permanent affiliation to Dr B. R. Ambedkar University, Agra in U.P., to award the degree program in Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (B.A.M.S.).
It holds N.O.C. and Essentiality Certificate from the Government of U.P.; there by fulfilling primary conditions for the Central Council of Indian Medicine (C.C.I.M.), New Delhi to allocate adequate number of seats. The C.C.I.M. granted first intake of 50 Seats in the first year 2002 for admission to the degree course of B.A.M.S.

SAMC desires deep down academic knowledge and uprising graph there to and therefor the College Management / Administration has already worked out the intends to introduce an additional period of Dhyan Yoga/ Pranayam from this academic year 2007-08 which as a part of Ayurveda, is best emphasized inconsistence with the central policy for implementation in order to provide better sustainable healing / curing effect.
Clinical Facility : A 200 bed Hospital with adequate staff, pathological lab, X-ray and other equipment, Operation Theatre with wards in the I.P.D. / O.P.D. is available for treatment of patients through Ayurveda. A complete unit of Panchkarma is established under Dept. Of Medicine.
Labs : All the Laboratories relating to their respective subjects namely Physiology, Pathology, Anatomy, Toxicology, Dravyaguna, Rasashastra etc are well equipped.
Herbal garden provides herbs on a large scale for imparting knowledge about their identification and pharmacopoeia.
Faculty : At Sri Sai Ayurvedic Medical College, all teaching activities run under supervision of qualified and experienced faculty along with eminent guest faculty makes learning rewarding.
We provide complete education by renowned scholars in Ayurveda is given to the students starting from the history of Ayurveda, Sanskrit language, Ayurvedic Philosophy, Anatomy, Philosophy, Study of Herbal drugs, metals and minerals, Preparation of Medicine, Treatment of various ailments, Surgery, Orthopedics and Rejuvenation therapy are part of the course.
