Shri OH Nazar Ayurved College

Shri O.H.Nazar Ayurved College, Surat and attached Shri Swami Atmanand Saraswati Ayurvedic Hospital (Grant-in-aid), Gujarat run by the trust named Shri Tapi Brahmacharyashram Sabha, Surat was established by late Saint Shri Swami Atmanand Saraswati in 1946 which is the only teaching institute imparting Ayurvedic Education & providing Ayurved Medical treatment to the needy people in the South Gujarat region since 1946.

The attached hospital was established in 1948 with the aim to provide cheap and effective treatment to the socio-economically backward people in the ill-developed area.Both College & hospital are in same campus situated at near Railway Station, Lal Darwaja Road, Surat.

There is admission(intake) capasity of 63 students every year. College is running only U.G. - Under Graduate of BAMS course. It is the only Government Grant-in-Aid ayurved college in south Gujarat.

The patients residing surrounding Surat city, nearbny villages in South Gujarat mostly, people of Surat city are taking benefits of ayurved treatment in our hospital. There are many facililities available in the hospital - i.e - well equipped dept.of Panchkarma, Physiotherapy, Radiology, Sonography & Dental deptt. There are regular yoga classes runs by yoga guru, full fledged gym facilities & food facilities for patients & one attendant. College is fullfilled by good facilities i.e. big class rooms with projector, laboratories for students practical, disecssion room, herbal garden, sport facilities etc. Our college is one of the best college in ayurved filed. We are trying to give our best output to the students as well as patients in hospital.

In Gujarat Counseling for AYUSH is conducted by Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) .ACPUGMEC is limited to the conduct of centralized Counseling, which includes online registration, document verification, online/offline Counseling procedure, seat allotment and issue of admission order as per NEET UG of current academic year. Candidates are advised to go through the user manual in the registration portal while filling the online registration form given at http://medadmgujarat.org/ug/home.aspx

Course Duration:

5 ½ Years (Study Period – 4 ½ Years + Compulsory Rotating Internship 1 Year)

Eligibility:

1. Applicants must have passed class 10+2 or equivalent qualification with Physics, Chemistry, Biology as mandatory subjects.
2. Candidates must have scored minimum 50% marks in Biology /Biotechnology, Physics & Chemistry.
3. The Minimum age of the applicant at the time of admission should be 17 years.
4. Applicant must be NEET qualified.
5. Applicants should be an Indian.

Qualifying Percentile and Cut-off Score:

1. Age proof (Certificate of birth/10th Class Certificate)
2. Marks sheet (10th & 10+2) and higher Qualification (if any).
3. NEET Score.
4. Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution, last attended.
5. Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ST/OBC Candidates).
6. Migration certificate (T.C.) from the University or College last attended
7. In case of having a breach of study, an affidavit must be submitted by the candidate that during the gap period he/she was not involved – in any political activity, Criminal activity and no Criminal case is pending against him/her in any court of law.
8. Six passport sized colour photographs.
9. Two self-addressed and stamped (Rs5/-) envelopes.
