Shri Jagadguru Gurusiddeshwar Co-Operative Hospital Society’s Ayurvedic Medical College, this college got established in the year 1996-97 with intake capacity of 25 students. Subsequently the intake strength has been increased to 100 seats in BAMS course from 2019-20 and This College is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and permitted by Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi, and Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
The college is having all 14 departments as per CCIM norms with all laboratory, instruments, equipment’s, models and charts for teaching to the students. All necessary additional facilities have been provided for PG Courses.

A well-established library containing more than 12000 books on different subjects, a rich specimen herbal garden sprawling over about 3 acres of land and separate hostel for boy’s and girl students with required facilities are available. All the facilities for indoor as well as out-door games have also been provided.
150 beded Ayurvedic Hospital with all types of facilities and special emphasis on Ksharasootra and Panchakarma therapy is available. Regular medical camps in nearby villages where free medical check-ups and free medicines are being dispensed to the needy poor patients. Regular Health check-up camps and “Swarna Prasana” Camps for small children are regularly conducted, also providing medicine to the poor patients in the camps.
College is conducting guest lectures, CMEs for updating the knowledge of students and Teachers. Teachers of the college are sent to various State Level, National Level, and International Seminars, Workshops etc, across the country for updating the teaching skills.

Course Duration:
5 ½ Years (Study Period – 4 ½ Years + Compulsory Rotating Internship 1 Year). Students will have 4 professional exams within a duration of 4.5 years and a compulsory rotating internship for 1 year. medical colleges in Karnataka states are regulated as per the rules and regulations of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science which is also known as RGUHS, Bangalore.

2. 85% state Government Quota (KEA)
The responsibility of KEA is limited to the conduct of Counseling, which includes online registration, document verification, online Counseling procedure, seat allotment and issue of admission order as per Government Rules. The candidates who wish to seek admission to Medical or Dental or Ayurveda or Unani or Homoeopathy courses in Karnataka must compulsorily qualify in UGNEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) exam conducted NTA, New Delhi. The candidates who qualify in the UGNEET exam will only get the eligibility for admission to Medical or Dental or AYUSH courses through KEA for Government share of seats subject to fulfilling the eligibility clauses of rule 5 of CET-2006 rules.
