Shri Dhanwantri Ayurved College & Hospital is proud of being located in Chandigarh, one of the most famous and modern cities of India, situated in the foot hills of Shivaliks, Gateway to Himachal Pradesh and having privilege of being the Capital of Punjab and Haryana.The college was established in the year 1975.
The College is recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), New Delhi and affiliated to the Shri Krishna Ayush University, Kurukshetra, for B.A.M.S. (Ayurvedacharya) Course with an annual intake of 50 Seats.
The College has produced over 1000 well-trained Graduates so far who are serving the ailing humanity in urban as well as rural areas and are well placed in Govt. Services or in their private enterprises. The College has gained distinction as various important and well-known pharmaceutical companies of the country have shown keen interest in the activities and development of Ayurveda in the College.

Recognizing that human beings are part of nature, Ayurveda describes three fundamental energies that govern our inner and outer environments: movement, transformation, and structure. Known in Sanskrit as Vata (Wind), Pitta (Fire), and Kapha (Earth), these primary forces are responsible for the characteristics of our mind and body.
The eligibility criteria to seek admission in Bachelor of Ayurveda (BAMS) education is as under:-
1. 12th standard with science or any other equivalent examination recognized by concerned State Government and Education Boards with at least 50% aggregate marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
2. For reserved category or special category like physically handicapped student in 10+2 they shall be given relaxation in marks for admission in Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery as per rules for time being in force.
3. Admissions open for the academic year 2020-21.
a. Transfer Certificate(T.C): No admission allowed without a valid T.C. duly countersigned by competent educational authority.
b. Character certificate : The applicant must submit a Character Certificate from the institution last attended.
c. Certificate of Date of Birth (Copy of High School Certificate)
d. Migration Certificate : Applicable to students coming from other State / University.
e. Passport size Photographs ( 8 Copies )
f. All certificates of examinations passed (Only original Certificate/Marks sheet/documents will be produced at the time of admission )
