Government Ayurveda College, Kannur, established in the year 1991. This college is affiliated to Kannur university, the first batch of BAMS course was started on 15.01.1992 with an intake capacity of 30 students in a year. 35 acres of land was sanctioned to Govt. Ayurveda College, Kannur at Kadannappally Village and Kannur Taluk.

The functioning of the College has been shifted to the newly constructed building at Pariyaram with effect from 01.06.1998. A 150 bedded College Hospital has also been functioning under this College at Pariyaram for imparting clinical training of BAMS & PG students and also for House Surgeons. Govt. of Kerala and Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi have issued orders to enhance the BAMS seats from 30 to 40 seats from 2002-03 onwards and from 40 to 60 seats from 2018-19 Academic year onwards.

5 ½ Years (Study Period – 4 ½ Years + Compulsory Rotating Internship 1 Year).
