
Sri Venkateswara Ayurvedic College, Tirupati, is a Private College established in the year 1983. The college is affiliated to Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences, Now which is known as Dr Y.S.R University of health Science. Sri Venkateswara Ayurvedic College, Tirupati maintained by the most prestigious and richest temple management of the world, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Tirupati. It was started with the aim of imparting quality education in the field of Ayurveda with 20 students intake capacity. Then the intake capacity was increased to 40 students 2006 Post-graduate courses in six faculties (Ayurveda Siddhanta, Panchakarma, Dravyaguna, Rasa Shastra, Shalya Tantra, and Kaumarabhritya) are introduced in the year 2010. It has a hospital facility attached, which is serving outpatient and inpatients free of cost and has facilities for all the procedures of Ayurveda like Panchakarma, Shalya Chikiitsa. Medical faculty trained at well-reputed institutes. It has also got a pharmacy attached situated at Srinivasa Mangapuram Near to Tirupati. It is producing medicine as per the demand of the hospital and supplying them. We are committed to provide good quality education to the students and to train them to serve mankind.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Biotechnology as subjects, and securing the minimum qualifying percentile in NEET (UG) 2025 is compulsory as per the guidelines of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine, New Delhi. Candidates seeking admission must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December 2025 those who do not attain this age by that date are not eligible. Age will be calculated based on the date of birth mentioned in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or an equivalent examination certificate. There is no upper age limit for admission. English is a compulsory subject, admission is granted only once in a year, and candidates must be medically fit. For educational qualification, eligibility for admission to ASU&H undergraduate courses shall strictly follow the ASU&H-UG Regulations.

Local Candidate:
A candidate is considered a local candidate of a particular local area if they have either studied in educational institutions in that area for at least four consecutive academic years ending with the year in which they appeared (or first appeared) for the qualifying examination, or, if they did not study during this period, they must have resided in that local area for at least four years immediately before the commencement of the qualifying examination.
If a candidate does not qualify under this rule, they may still be considered a local candidate if they have studied in the State of Andhra Pradesh for at least seven consecutive academic years; in such cases, the local area will be decided based on where they studied or resided for the maximum period, or where they last studied or resided if the period is equal. A Local Status Certificate issued online by the MRO, as per Government of Andhra Pradesh rules, is mandatory to claim local status.

Candidate must be a graduate of Ayurvedacharya (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) from a recognized institution, be a registered medical practitioner with registration in the State, Union Territory, or Central Register, and have qualified the Postgraduate National Entrance Test-2025 (AIAPGET-2025). Additionally, the candidate must have completed the compulsory internship on or before 31 July 2025 and submit a certificate to this effect, which is applicable only for the academic year 2025–26. No upper age limit is specified for admission to ASU & H – PG Courses.
As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India, the students who secured the below noted minimum marks or above in All India AYUSH Post Graduates Test (AIAPGET) 2025 and applied to the University are only eligible for admission into MD/MS (Ayurveda) courses 2025-26.

Andhra University Area: The part of the State comprising the erstwhile Districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam shall be regarded as the local area for the purposes of admission to the Andhra Pradesh Professional Institutions i.e. Post graduate Medical and Dental Professional courses and to any other educational institutions (other than a State-wide University or State-wide Educational Institution) which is subject to the control of the State Government and is situated in that part.
Sri Venkateswara University Area: The part of the State comprising the erstwhile Districts of Anantapur, Kurnool, Chittoor, Cuddapah and Nellore shall be regarded as the local area for the purposes of admission to the Andhra Pradesh Professional Institutions i.e. Post graduate Medical and Dental Professional courses and to any other educational institutions (other than a State-wide University or State-wide Educational Institution) which is subject to the control of the State Government and is situated in that part.
