Shri Vijay Mahantesh Ayurvedic Medical College was established in 1992. The college was affiliated to Karnataka University, Dharwad now after the commence of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore in 1996 it got affiliated to it, Since then the intake capacity of student increased from 50 to 60, and college & hospital are recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine(CCIM) & Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi. S.V.M. Ayurvedic Medical College is hospital-integrated modeled medical program in the Karnataka where clinical experience starts in the Beginning. Second year, third year and Final year students attend rounds at the most modern hospital in the ILKAL, R.P.K. Ayurvedic Medical Center. The S.V.M. Ayurvedic Medical College students are exposed to patients of all age groups. In addition, students practice history taking and physical examinations with patients at our campus. The college building includes a spacious and well-equipped library, anatomy dissection theater, physiology lab, staff-rooms, and conference, exam hall & lecture halls. The institution has facilities for education through computers, multimedia and the Internet, which will ensure high-quality and up-to-date education in ayurveda.

KEA – Karnataka Examination Authority conducts AYUSH Courses counseling For Shri Vijay Mahantesh Ayurvedic Medical College

The KEA – Karnataka Examination Authority conducts a centralized online counseling process for Karnataka state, offering admissions to various types of seats: Government seats in Government colleges, Government seats in private colleges, Private/Management seats, and NRI seats in private colleges. KEA organizes this counseling in four rounds. The application form for UG NEET counseling will be available in the UG NEET section of the KEA website.

In Karnataka, 85% of seats in government and government-aided institutions (excluding the 15% All India Quota managed by AACCC), along with seats in private institutions (including State Quota, All India Quota, and Management/NRI Quota), for AYUSH undergraduate courses in Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathy will be allocated through the KEA – Karnataka Examination Authority.

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will conduct counseling for BAMS PG in Karnataka

The KEA PG AYUSH Information Bulletin 2024 outlines the admission process for MD/MS courses in Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, and Homeopathy under both All India and State Government quota seats in Karnataka. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is responsible for conducting online counseling, document verification, and seat allotment for eligible candidates. Admissions are based on AIAPGET-2024 scores conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), New Delhi. The bulletin also details eligibility criteria, document verification procedures, and guidelines to ensure a transparent and streamlined admission process. Candidates are advised to regularly check the KEA website for updates and notifications.

Eligibility:

For admission to PG AYUSH courses in AIAPGET 2024, candidates must score a minimum of 50th percentile (40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC and PwD). Only Karnataka SC/ST/OBC candidates can claim reservation benefits. Applicants must be Indian citizens and hold a Bachelor's degree in AYUSH (BAMS/BNYS/BHMS/BUMS) from NCISM/NCH-recognized institutions in Karnataka or be of Karnataka origin if graduated from outside the state. Candidates must have completed their Compulsory Rotating Internship by 31st July 2024. Those already holding a PG degree in any specialty are ineligible, while PG diploma holders can apply for the same specialty. In-service candidates must be below 48 years as of 15th May 2024, with exemptions for children of government employees, MPs, or defence personnel with Karnataka ties.

Application Filling Process

• Step 1: Visit the KEA official website and click on the PG AYUSH admission link.
• Step 2: Register by providing basic details and generating a user ID and password.
• Step 3: Fill in the application form with personal, academic, and AIAPGET details.
• Step 4: Upload the required documents:

  • Internship Completion Certificate
  • UG Degree Certificate
  • Category/Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• Step 5: Pay the application fee online through debit/credit card or net banking.
• Step 6: Submit the application and take a printout for future reference.

Note to candidates:

• a) Who have been allotted seat in the first round and who may exercise Choice-2 or Choice-3;

The candidates who have been allotted seat in the first round and those who opts choices 2 or 3 and also those candidates who have not been allotted a seat during first round should submit their original documents on the dates notified to KEA to become eligible to participate in the second round. The dates for submission of documents will be notified on the KEA Website before the second round of online seat allotment.

• A) Candidates who have allotted seat first round in KEA and exercised Choice 2 and paid the fees.
• B) Candidates who have allotted seat first round in KEA and exercised Choice - 3.
• C) Seat not allotted candidates in first round in KEA.
• NOTE: Those who submit the original documents will only be considered for rearrangement of options to become eligible for allotment of seats in the second round.
