Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya Institution was established in the Year 1949. At first it was named as “Gopabandhu Ayurvedic Institute” and later on “Gopabandhu Ayurveda Vidyapitha, Puri” and again it was renamed as “GOPABANDHU AYURVEDA MAHAVIDYALAYA, PURI” in the Year 1971. The college is affiliated to Utkal University Vani Vihar ,Bhubaneshwar, located in Odisha with an annual intake of 55 seats. This Institute has been upgraded to the status of Model Institute of Govt. of India for its higher order academic activities and imparts teaching to U.G. & P.G. This Institution has also been declared as Nodal Centre for Ph.D. (Ay.) study by the Utkal University from the Year 2010-11.

 The Institution was established in the Year 1949. Existing herbal garden covering about 2 Acres of land has been developed adjacent to the department having 270 species of medicinal plants, out of which 15 species are under rare category. Another herbal garden has been developed in the College premises with different medicinal plants.

Odisha JEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Examination) is a known state-level examination conducted to provide admissions in various Ayush courses like Ayurveda/Homeopathy.In Odisha state Admission in Ayush courses has based on NEET Scorecard. Only NEET qualified applicants can apply or participate in Odisha Ayush NEET Counselling 2021.

Course Duration:

 5 ½ Years (Study Period – 4 ½ Years + Compulsory Rotating Internship 1 Year)

Seat Distribution:

-15% AIQ (All India Quota)

AACCC will be doing Counselling for minimum 15% AIQ seats for Government, Government aided, Central Universities, National Institutes, Private colleges and 100% seats for Deemed Universities.

- 85% Government Quota

 85% seat filled through government counselling conducted by Odisha Joint Entrance Examination

Eligibility:

1. Applicants must have passed class 10+2 or equivalent qualification with Physics, Chemistry, Biology as mandatory subjects.
2. The Minimum age of the applicant at the time of admission should be 17 years.
