Hon’ble founder Dr. Patangrao Kadam established the College in August 1990. The College of Ayurved is a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) which is recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine & Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi. Bharti Vidyapeeth’s University, College of Ayurveda is Re-accredited ‘A+’ Grade by National Assessment Accreditation Council (NAAC) Bangalore.
It is located in the Dhankawadi Educational complex of Bharati Vidyapeeth. The well designed college building accommodates well-equipped laboratories, dissection lobby, spacious demonstration halls, museums, classrooms and library with a reading hall and internet facility. The college conserves an herbal garden having more than 298 medicinal plants species. Few endangered herbal species are seen here. The states of art equipment are installed in our pharmacy to manufacture variety of classical Ayurvedic preparations. The college library has ample space. It has a huge reading hall & a well furnished section containing more than 22,026 volumes on Ayurvedic and allied medicines. Library subscribes to imperative scientific periodicals. The college owns Ayurvedic Hospital with 200-bed strength. Our OPDs & IPDs attract a huge number of patients, facilitating our students to get better clinical exposure.
