Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College Bangalore was established in the year 2006 to serve the rural population of Dodaballapura. The institution provides with the finest quality medical education, training and patient care to help the students to gain an insight of their prospect as true healers in the realm of Ayurveda. The Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and recommended by Central Council of Indian Medicine and approved by Ayush Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. It operates a 100 bedded hospital with a total spread of 10 acre land including herbal garden, pharmacy, canteen and other amenities required for an Ayurvedic Medical College as per the norms of the statutory body. The college offers Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S) course with an intake of 100 seats.

The central library at Atreya Ayurveda Medical College provides information to the students and teachers with more than 11,000 books including traditional manuscripts and the most recent editions of books of reference in the curriculum with convenient borrowing facilities. The college has wide sports ground with the essential sports equipment's for ensuring physically healthy young learners. The pharmacy has a practical training section and a bulk manufacturing section. The training section is equipped with provision of convenient learning for 50 students respectively for herbal and herbo-mineral preparation. Spacious and furnished hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls, with complete basic requirements, essential hygiene and healthy food.

The KEA – Karnataka Examination Authority conducts a centralized online counseling process for Karnataka state, offering admissions to various types of seats: Government seats in Government colleges, Government seats in private colleges, Private/Management seats, and NRI seats in private colleges. KEA organizes this counseling in four rounds. The application form for UG NEET counseling will be available in the UG NEET section of the KEA website.

In Karnataka, 85% of seats in government and government-aided institutions (excluding the 15% All India Quota managed by AACCC), along with seats in private institutions (including State Quota, All India Quota, and Management/NRI Quota), for AYUSH undergraduate courses in Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathy will be allocated through the KEA – Karnataka Examination Authority.
